Why form photos get rejected
Most upload errors come down to three things: the file is too big (a phone photo is several megabytes, forms want tens of kilobytes), the shape or pixel size is wrong, or the background is not plain. Each form above is set to its official rules, linked to the notice they come from, and every rule is checked before you download.
You can still change any number, because exam bodies change their limits from one notice to the next. Some forms no longer take an uploaded photo at all: SSC captures it live with the camera, and many passport offices take the photo at the counter. Those are marked, so you do not prepare a file nobody will accept.
How to use it
- Choose your form; its sizes appear and can be changed.
- Add a clear phone photo of your face and drag it into the oval.
- Optionally make the background white, or add your name and date.
- Press Make photo, check the ticks and download. Do the same for the signature.
Frequently asked questions
How does it make the file the right size?
It saves the photo at the highest quality that still fits under the maximum. If a form also has a minimum and the file is smaller, it is raised to the minimum without changing the picture.
Does KB mean 1000 or 1024 bytes?
Forms rarely say. The tool keeps files under the maximum counted as 1000 bytes and over the minimum counted as 1024 bytes, so they pass either way.
Can I add my name and date to the photo?
Yes. Tick "Add name and date below the photo"; a white strip with both is added under the face, as some exam forms ask.
Is my photo uploaded?
No. Everything, including the background removal, runs in your browser.
