Resize Images for free, privately

Every platform wants a different size: a square for an Instagram post, a wide banner for LinkedIn, a smaller photo for an online form. This resizer changes the pixel size of your images, one at a time or a whole batch, and keeps them sharp by scaling down in careful steps.

Type an exact width and height, scale by percentage, or pick a social media size and let the tool crop to fill from the centre so nothing looks squashed. It all runs in your browser, so your photos are never uploaded.

How it works

  1. Add images: drop them onto the box, click to choose, or paste a screenshot.
  2. Choose Pixels, Percentage or a Social media size.
  3. Press Resize images. Each file shows its new size in pixels and KB.
  4. Download images one by one, or all of them as a ZIP.

Frequently asked questions

How do I resize an image without stretching it?

Keep "Keep proportions" ticked: the image is scaled to fit inside the width and height you enter. For an exact size with a different shape, untick it and choose Crop to fill, which trims the edges evenly instead of squashing the picture.

What size should an Instagram post be?

A square post is 1080 × 1080 pixels and a portrait post 1080 × 1350. Stories and Reels use 1080 × 1920. Pick them from Social media size.

Does resizing reduce file size?

Making an image smaller in pixels almost always makes the file smaller too. To reach a specific file size such as 100 KB, use the Image Compressor with a target size.

Are my photos uploaded?

No. Resizing happens in this page on your own device, and nothing is sent to a server.
