About Word to PDF Converter
Turn a Word document into a PDF that looks the same on every device, ready to email, print or upload to a form.
The document is laid out in your browser, with its fonts, images and tables, and saved as a PDF. It is not sent to a server, which matters for CVs, contracts and anything personal.
How to use it
- Choose or drop a .docx file (up to 20 MB).
- Press Convert to PDF.
- Wait a moment while the pages are laid out.
- Download the PDF.
Good to know
- Works with .docx files (Word 2007 and newer). An old .doc file can be opened in Word, Google Docs or LibreOffice and saved as .docx first.
- The PDF pages are saved as high-resolution images of your document, so the text in the PDF cannot be selected or searched. If you need selectable text, use Save as PDF in Word itself.
- Fonts that are not available in your browser are replaced by a similar one.
Questions
Can I convert a .doc file?
Not directly. Open it in Word, Google Docs or LibreOffice, save it as .docx, then convert it here.
Why can’t I select the text in the PDF?
To keep the layout exact without uploading your file, each page is captured as an image. For a text-searchable PDF, use Word’s own Save as PDF.
Will my layout be kept?
Ordinary documents such as letters, CVs and reports come out as they look in Word. Complex features like text boxes and some fonts can shift slightly.
Is my document uploaded?
No. It is opened and converted in your browser.
