What UPSC checks
UPSC wants both images as square JPG files between 350 × 350 and 1000 × 1000 pixels and between 20 KB and 300 KB. The tool sets 500 × 500 pixels, which sits safely inside that range; change the numbers above if your notice says otherwise.
The signature is different from most forms: you sign three times on the same sheet, one signature below the other, in black ink, and upload one picture of all three. Photograph the sheet and the tool removes the paper, crops to the ink and centres it in the square. UPSC also takes a live photo during registration, so keep your appearance the same as in the uploaded photo.
How to use it
- Choose your form; its sizes appear and can be changed.
- Add a clear phone photo of your face and drag it into the oval.
- Optionally make the background white, or add your name and date.
- Press Make photo, check the ticks and download. Do the same for the signature.
