SSC no longer takes an uploaded photo
Since 2025, SSC forms capture your photograph live, with your webcam or phone camera, while you fill in the application. You do not upload a photo file, and a photo of an existing photo gets the application rejected. Sites that still offer an "SSC photo resizer" are out of date. What you do upload is your signature.
The notice asks for a JPG between 10 KB and 20 KB, about 6.0 × 2.0 cm. It gives no pixel size, so the tool uses 300 × 100 pixels, the same 3 : 1 shape, which lands comfortably inside the size range. Sign on plain white paper, take a photo from straight above, and the tool removes the paper, crops to the ink and checks the size.
How to use it
- Sign on plain white paper in black or blue ink.
- Take a photo of the signature from straight above.
- Add the photo; the paper is removed and the ink is cropped.
- Press Make signature and download the JPG.
Frequently asked questions
What is the SSC signature size?
A JPG between 10 KB and 20 KB, about 6.0 cm wide and 2.0 cm high. SSC does not state a pixel size.
Where do I upload my photo for SSC?
You do not. The form takes your photo live with the camera during the application. Sit facing the camera in good light, without cap, mask or dark glasses.
My signature photo has shadows. Will that work?
Yes. The tool evens out the paper brightness before it lifts the ink, so a normal phone photo with a shadow comes out clean. Use the Ink slider if thin strokes disappear.
Is my signature uploaded to Toololo?
No. It is processed in your browser and never leaves your device.
