Increase Image Size in KB for free, privately
Application portals sometimes set a minimum file size as well as a maximum, such as "between 20 KB and 50 KB", and reject a photo that is too small. Making the picture bigger in pixels would change it; this tool does not. It saves your image as a top-quality JPG, and if that is still under the minimum it adds blank data inside the file, in a comment block that image viewers ignore. The picture looks exactly the same; only the file is larger.
The minimum is counted generously (1 KB = 1024 bytes, plus a little), so the file passes however the site measures. Everything runs in your browser, so your images are never uploaded.
How it works
- Add the image.
- Type the minimum size in KB your form asks for.
- Press Increase size.
- Download the JPG.
Frequently asked questions
How do I increase a photo from 10 KB to 50 KB?
Add the photo, type 50 and press Increase size. The tool saves it at top quality and, if needed, adds blank data inside the file until it reaches 50 KB. The picture itself does not change.
Will the photo look different?
No. The added data sits in a comment section of the JPG that viewers and upload forms skip. The pixels are the same.
What if my form also has a maximum?
Use a minimum inside the allowed range, for example 30 for "20 to 50 KB". If the photo is already larger than the maximum, use Reduce Image Size in KB instead.
Are my images uploaded?
No. Everything runs in this page on your own device.
