Compress Image to 30 KB for free, privately
Upload forms often reject images above a fixed size, and 30 KB is a common limit for photo uploads in recruitment, exam and scholarship forms. This page is set up for it: the tool searches for the highest quality that still fits under 30 KB, and only makes the picture smaller in pixels if quality alone is not enough.
A limit this small only fits a small picture, so the tool also reduces the pixel size: expect roughly 400 to 500 pixels on the long side. Crop tightly to the face or the signature first with the Image Resizer, so those pixels go on what matters. Everything runs in your browser with the mozjpeg and libwebp encoders, so your images are never uploaded.
How it works
- Add images: drop JPG, PNG or WebP files, click to choose them, or paste a screenshot.
- Pick Quality or Target size, and a format if you want to convert.
- Press Compress images. Each file shows its new size and how much it saved.
- Download images one by one, or all of them as a ZIP.

Frequently asked questions
How do I compress a photo to 30 KB?
Add the photo and press Compress images. The target size is already 30 KB; change the number if your form asks for another limit. Each image shows its new size, and "Resized to fit" if the pixel size had to be reduced too.
Will the image look worse at 30 KB?
The tool keeps the highest quality that fits. Small photos and screenshots usually look unchanged; a large, detailed photo squeezed into 30 KB is also scaled down, which looks fine on screen but is not meant for printing.
How do I resize an image to 30 KB?
Resizing to 30 KB means making the file 30 KB or smaller, which is what this page does: add the image and press Compress images. If the form also gives a size in pixels or centimetres, set that first with the Image Resizer or Resize Image in cm, then bring the file under 30 KB here.
Can I compress several images at once?
Yes. Add as many as you like; each is compressed to the target on its own, and you can download them one by one or as a ZIP.
Are my images uploaded?
No. Compression runs in this page on your own device. Nothing is sent to a server.
